Michelle joined the firm in 2006 and became a shareholder in 2009. She has practiced law since 1993 including as an administrative law judge, a judge pro tem and an arbitrator. She was a judicial intern for the Chief Judge of the United States Claims Court in Washington, DC, drafting public contracting and tax appeal decisions.
Michelle's civil litigation practice emphasizes construction law, probate litigation, debtor-creditor law, bankruptcy litigation, alternative dispute resolution and administrative law. Michelle works closely with private and public contractors to "stay legal". She represents probate clients in legal disputes over issues related to aging, disability, and death. She also represents clients in administrative law proceedings including before the Construction Contractor's Board, the Oregon Liquor Control Commission, and the Department of Health and Human Services.
Professional and Community Activities
Michelle is a member of the Oregon, California, and Washington State and Federal Bar Associations. She is also a member of the Rotary Club of Eugene, the Construction Law and Debtor-Creditor Sections of the Oregon State Bar, the Oregon Women Lawyers Association, and the Roland K. Rodman Inn of Court.
