Derek D. Simmons

Professional Experience

Derek joined the firm in 2002 after a two-year clerkship with Judge David Brewer of the Oregon Court of Appeals. Derek practices in the areas of business law, health law, and litigation.

Professional and Community Activities

Derek is a member of the Oregon State Bar, and he is a member and past President of the Douglas County Bar. Derek represents the firm as a member of Roseburg Town Center, the Roseburg Business Association, and the Roseburg Chamber of Commerce. In addition, Derek serves as a member of the board of the Boys & Girls Club of the Umpqua Valley, and he enjoys community service through the Rotary Club of Roseburg.

Derek is a graduate of the Roseburg Area Chamber of Commerce's Project Leadership (2003), the Oregon State Bar Leadership College (2007), and is a member of the inaugural class of the Ford Institute Leadership Program in Roseburg (2009).
